На сайте проекта можно скачать выпуски различных радиопрограмм о музыке в формате mp3. Самые известные - "Музпросвет" и "FM Достоевский".
Проект "Радиоархив" создан для того, чтобы любителям музыки не приходилось судорожно вспоминать, когда надо включить радио, чтобы послушать очередной выпуск. Особенно актуально это тем, кто слушает радио через Интернет - не у всех есть хорошее соединение, позволяющее принимать потоковую трансляцию в реальном времени в хорошем качестве без запинок и остановок.
